Muskegon County's beaches, festivals, attractions and events make the area a prime travel destination. The USS Silversides Submarine Museum offers a tour of a World War II submarine, the Muskegon Museum of Art offers a wide range of traditional and contemporary pieces, and Michigan's Adventure Amusement & Water Park—the state's largest amusement and water park—is located in Whitehall. ("Two parks for the price of one!")
For the winter months, the Muskegon Winter Sports Complex offers a host of activities to enjoy winter, including a luge track designed by three-time Olympian Frank Masley.
Spend a day cruising, boating or fishing on Lake Michigan, or enjoy sunbathing and splashing along the shoreline. West Michigan is actually a rad Midwest surfing destination. Try wakeboarding or boogie boarding, at the very least.
A little more inland, parks offer great trails, both rustic and paved, for hiking and biking through rolling hills, marshes, lakes and forest.
Stay in one of the area's hotels or cottages, or find a camping ground to enjoy the great outdoors.
Muskegon County is a great destination for your next vacation, meeting or event—and both the Visitors Guide and Coupon Book provide all the information you need to know, along with great deals on many of the county's attractions, restaurants, golf courses and retailers.
